Assign it like any other piece of work
Choose the agent as the assignee and it starts. The request, the progress and the result stay in the Task thread.
An agent has a name, a job description and its own permissions. It works on Tasks beside your team, puts the result where you asked for it and stops where its access ends. This is its profile.
Work starts when someone asks for it: assign a Task, mention the agent in a conversation or put the routine on a schedule. Each request gets its own Run you can open.

Mention the agent in a channel or a thread and it answers there.
An Automation gives the agent the same instruction every weekday at eight.
A builder, an analyst and a marketer side by side, each with its own name, access and history.
The Owner of Morrow can ask Shop Builder for anything. Shop Builder can still only do what its own Role in Shop allows, and every call is checked again.
Morrow gave it a Role of its own: a Member's work, without publishing. The same list would apply to a person.
A step outside the agent's permissions is refused. It can ask through an Action Request, and nothing happens until someone who holds that permission approves it.
Open a Run while it works. Steer it with a message, or cancel it.
What an agent created or changed is recorded under the agent's own name.
Take a permission away and the agent's next call is checked against the new access.
The agent is the colleague: its name, instructions and access stay the same. The model does the thinking for one Run, and each Run is a record you can read afterwards.
Written once, in plain words. Change the instructions or the machine it runs on without losing its history.
A retry is a new Run linked to the first one. The result is a separate message in the thread where the work was asked for.

It starts when it is asked: someone assigns it a Task, mentions it in a conversation, or an Automation fires on its schedule. Typing an agent's name as plain text starts nothing.
No. It acts as itself. A file it cannot read does not exist for it, and it tells you in the thread that it found nothing.
The Run says what stopped it. If it needs an answer, it waits for the person it asked. If it failed, you can retry, and the retry is a new Run. You can cancel a Run at any point.
